Bomb Farm Energy Rotation and XP Sharing Guide
Keep three Bomb Farm teams productive with House recovery, staggered energy, default XP sharing, focused carry leveling, and a 60-second toggle cooldown.
Energy decides whether Bomb Farm can idle. XP decides whether the whole roster remains useful. Managing them together is more important than maximizing one hero’s Power while the rest of the dock falls behind.
How XP sharing works
The September 1 update added XP sharing and enabled it by default. XP from each destroyed block is divided equally among heroes in Battle. Disable the setting and all XP goes to the hero who destroyed the block. Changes have a 60-second cooldown.
Default sharing is the safer opening choice. Supports, Collectors, and replacement heroes gain levels while the Attacker clears. A roster that grows together is easier to rotate because the second team is not starting from zero.
Focused XP can still be useful. Turn sharing off only when a specific hero is close to a meaningful level threshold and can reliably secure the destroyed blocks. Turn it back on after the planned breakpoint rather than leaving the setting off by accident.
Build a three-team conveyor
Steam says players can switch between three teams to keep the mine running nonstop. That statement describes a target state, not an automatic guarantee. House capacity, recovery, hero quality, and your timing decide whether it works.
Use a simple rotation:
- Team A — active: the strongest stable farm or current push squad.
- Team B — ready: enough energy to take over before Team A empties.
- Team C — recovering: parked in House or serving as the lower-investment spare.
Do not wait for every member of Team A to reach zero. Rotate when the team can no longer finish the intended session efficiently. Staggering creates overlap and reduces the chance that every trained hero rests at the same time.
Read the Battle panel before swapping
The updated collapsible panel shows each fighting hero’s name, Rank, level, Energy, and Power. Use it to answer five quick questions:
- Which hero is closest to empty Energy?
- Is one hero far behind in level?
- Did a newly equipped piece change Power as expected?
- Is the current team still appropriate for farming or a timed gate?
- Which ready hero can replace the weak slot without breaking role coverage?
Do not use Power as the only decision. A lower-Power Support or Collector can increase total output if the current stage is already stable.
When to change the team
Rotate early for long idle periods. For a timed gate, wait until the combat team has full Energy and use the strongest relevant mix. After the attempt, return economy heroes to the farm team rather than leaving an expensive push configuration running all night.
If every team drains too quickly, determine whether the issue is roster depth, House recovery, the chosen stage, or damage. Slow clears consume time and Energy. Sometimes a damage upgrade improves uptime more than a recovery purchase because the squad finishes each grid faster.
Avoid these XP and Energy mistakes
- Disabling XP sharing without a target level.
- Building one carry while replacement heroes remain unusable.
- Rotating all teams on the same schedule.
- Leaving tired heroes in Battle because their rarity is high.
- Funding three complete gear sets before one push team is reliable.
- Confusing a high Power number with the correct role mix.
