Bomb Farm Forge Guide: Upgrade Gear from +0 to +15

The Forge converts materials into concentrated equipment power. It is also an easy place to stall a Bomb Farm account by upgrading the first impressive drop instead of the piece that supports the next important clear.

Pass the long-term-use test

Before the first upgrade, ask:

• Is this piece equipped by a hero used in the active farm or push team?
• Do its attributes match that hero’s role?
• Would a realistic replacement invalidate the investment soon?
• Does the upgrade solve a measured problem such as gate damage or slow clears?
• Can the account still fund House, abilities, and essential tree nodes afterward?

Three confident answers are a minimum. If the item is only “high rarity,” keep the materials.

Build in checkpoints

Bomb Farm advertises upgrades from +0 to +15. Treat the path as checkpoints rather than one continuous click sequence. Upgrade, return to Battle, and measure the result. If clear time barely changes, another system may be the real bottleneck.

The current client preview should decide whether an attempt is acceptable. Success behavior, resource costs, and interface wording can change during launch patches, so do not rely on an old screenshot for a risky confirmation.

Opportunity cost matters

Every Forge material spent on one item is unavailable for another hero, Ritual fusion, or a future replacement. Early progression normally benefits more from a coherent working set than one extreme piece beside several empty slots.

Use a simple priority:

1. Fix the weakest equipped slot on the push hero.
2. Bring the rest of that hero’s set to a dependable baseline.
3. Improve the second critical role.
4. Fund the rotation team enough to maintain uptime.
5. Chase +15 only on items that survive the replacement test.

Read rarity frames and Market context

The September 1 chest-and-Market update added rarity frames to equipment images on Steam, making Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic items easier to identify. That helps browsing, but the frame still does not show whether the item fits your hero or is worth removing from the account.

A safe confirmation routine

Before every important attempt:

1. Open the exact item’s details rather than relying on list position.
2. Confirm the equipped hero and role.
3. Read the displayed cost, success behavior, and resulting level.
4. Verify that no locked Skill Stone or unavailable material is being counted.
5. Take a screenshot for expensive attempts.
6. Confirm once, then wait for the interface result.

The September 1 patch fixed locked Skill Stones being counted as available and improved the explanation when a Stone must be unlocked. If the button is disabled, read its explanation before troubleshooting the account.

When not to forge

Stop if a role change is the real answer, all active heroes are exhausted, the Map is waiting for another requirement, or the item is about to be replaced. Gear multiplies a good team decision; it does not repair a missing role or an inactive Battle state.
